I'm a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer based in Colombo, Sri Lanka, with 8+ years of experience designing, building and shipping production software — most recently across enterprise VTEX e-commerce platforms for global clients including Stanley Engineering (Fastening & Infrastructure), Bisco.com, Cosmo Rentals, Ben's Cycle and GEM.
My core stack is React.js, Next.js, Node.js and GraphQL on the front end and API layer, backed by AWS cloud infrastructure and Python automation for everything from CI/CD to catalog operations. I've owned full-stack features end-to-end — from backend architecture and GraphQL API design through UI implementation, testing, performance optimization and release management — while working directly with clients to translate evolving business requirements into shipped software.

- Led full-stack build of a new enterprise checkout — designed backend architecture, documented business rules, and built GraphQL API services for product certification selection, sold-to/ship-to account management, and JDE/SAP order simulation.
- Built custom React hooks and UI components for the checkout frontend, added mobile responsiveness, and tuned performance using Chrome Lighthouse audits.
- Established unit, snapshot and integration test coverage across UI and backend components to support reliable production releases.

- Built backend infrastructure and GraphQL services, gathering requirements directly from stakeholders.

- Evaluated 3D rendering libraries for VTEX platform compatibility and built a dedicated cloud rendering microservice, integrated into VTEX storefronts via iFrame to work around platform sandbox limitations.

- Automated the CI/CD pipeline across company mono-repos with GitHub Actions — custom scripts for version releases, tag creation, automated test runs and workspace provisioning.
- Built Python automation for VTEX catalog operations: bulk product/SKU creation, image updates from CSV/XLSX, MOQ updates and duplicate-specification cleanup.
- Scaled multi-language support across 20+ microservices for Bisco.com and 30+ for Stanley Engineering, integrating the Google Translate API.

Core contributor to Blimpit's omni-channel e-commerce platform — full-stack feature development across backend APIs and frontend UI, plus sole ownership of the AWS deployment.
- Built backend APIs (Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB) and frontend UI (React.js) for an omni-channel commerce platform.
- Owned end-to-end AWS deployment — provisioned EC2 infrastructure, containerized services with Docker, and configured MongoDB as the sole deployment engineer.
- Standardized dev/staging/production environments via Docker to reduce environment-related defects.
